Fishing Rules
No soft plastic baits (e.g. rubber worms/minnows/craws, twister tails, tube jigs, PowerBaits, etc.). Acceptable lures include spoons, spinner baits, crankbaits, flies, etc.
No live bait (baitfish, worms, crayfish, frogs etc.).
Single, barbless hooks only. This means no treble hooks and any barbs must be pinched down with pliers prior to use. For more information on replacing treble hooks with single hooks, view this guide from Angling Active.
Leave no trace – clean up after yourself and pack out any fishing trash.
All anglers must have an up-to-date fishing license.
Abide by fishing seasons, catch limits, and rules set out for FMZ 15, as well as all provincial and federal regulations.
Keeping/Cleaning Fish
Catch & release all species except Bass (Largemouth and Smallmouth).
Release all Bass measuring 16″ or longer. Anything under 16″ can be kept and consumed.
Do not clean fish near your campsite. Find a spot away from your campsite and discard carcasses in a deep part of the lake.
Invasive Species Prevention
Help us maintain healthy aquatic ecosystems:
Do not release any fish into a different body of water than it was originally found.
Any prohibited invasive species caught or found must be documented, destroyed, and reported to staff and/or local authorities.
Please use this form to report all invasive species sightings to staff.
Prevent the spread of aquatic invasive plants by sanitizing all fishing gear prior to arrival at the Park.
